  1. This is the third time I am trying to leave you a comment. Everytime I hit submit, I end up on xanga’s home page???|Isn’t it amazing how much landscaping can grow and flourish in just one year? I remember when you posted your new plants last spring/summer.Everything looks ver nice.  What a Great front porch you have!I have ferns on my front porch too. They are so green and lush and…..summer.Can’t wait for the “more to come” on that fountain. What  a fun picture with the water cascading down.Happy Tuesday to you. =)

  2. I KNEW it! That is the house I picked out to be yours I’ve never double checked your address to see where you are in B-town, but I’ve driven through several times and wondered where you live and checked out each house, and I just kept coming back to this one All the sweet little “Rachel Touches” I think  I really like what you did with that little space in the front. So inviting.

  3. Oh, so pretty!  Those plants really DID grow a lot in one year!  It’s so much fun to go back a year to compare and it always gives me sooo much courage when I feel like we’re just spinning our tires around here!  I love that water fountain!!!!!  There is something so restful in hearing water fall.

  4. I was just thinking about your place the other day when I was looking at my plants outside, remembering that you did a post on planting that front section right around the same time that we did ours. And how fun to see it now! What a transformation has taken place in ONE year!! So amazing! I love all the bright fun colors, those tall flowers (are they foxgloves??), that tree by the bench! The tree has grown incredibly in one year! I kept going back and forth from the first planting to now, and it hardly looks like the same spot! It looks so English-garden-style and inviting!! Your house looks SO loved and welcoming! And your fountain!!!! DREAMY!!

  5. Alright.  I tried three times yesterday to leave a comment on this post… here goes again πŸ™‚  What a great transformation Rachel!  You’ve got a real eye for landscape design.  What a beautiful and inviting place… and the calico banner hanging from you porch looks so perfect!  I can’t wait to see the rest of the yard πŸ™‚

  6. @inanorchard – yep, it worked!! the more i am outside working in my yard/flowebeds the more i remember how very much i Love it. it’s been a lifelong love, and yet, now that i have my ‘own’ place and can do things the way i want, it is much more of a love affair than ever. i cannot get enough of it! @lifeisadance – aw! thanks for the compliment! yes, the foxglove are SO gorgeous! i’m quite please with them..only wish they would last the entire summer!@fruitloops115 – i must!! have you here someday! glad you figured it out! ;O)@Elizabethmarie_1 – thanks for the comment…i have a ‘thing’ for porches. a big thing! and, yes, it is amazing how much a place can change in a year!
